View From My Window (local version)!

We were inspired by a group on Facebook named "View from my window" that asks people all over the world to post a photo taken from their home. The photos are a fascinating glimpse of where--and how--people live around the globe.

Some folks have included a short message of hope about life during this pandemic.

We thought we could do our own local version of "Views," so please enjoy all forty-one images below.

Take your time; no need to rush through.

As Pooh says: "Doing nothing often leads to the very best of something."

  1. Thanks for sharing these special places as you ‘sheltered at home’. What incredibly wonderful mountain homes! And thanks for creating this virtual connection Michael! Looking so forward to seeing each of you! XO

  2. What a beautiful and inspiring group of pictures demonstrating hope, creativity and a collective spirit. I am sad to see the blog end but maybe a metaphor and future hope that this virus will also end. Looking forward to seeing everyone together hiking. Thank you Michael and Deb for all your work.

Yep, that's an understatement. What a bunch of talented photographers in this bunch, right? I know we shouldn't pick favorites but, oh well-- I really love the shots by Karen Milligan and Maartje Maas-Potterson. I think they incorporated an element of togetherness in their compositions which evoke a sense of hope and community. Bravo, ladies...
